We will focus on basic postures at a comfortable pace in a meditative setting. All levels of ability will enjoy this format.
This type of yoga practice will incorporate a more physical approach that fosters increased energy, endurance, strength and flexibility. We will focus on a mindful approach integrating breathing techniques, balancing, strength and flexibility poses, as well as inspirational, thought provoking guided meditations.
Restorative Yoga for emotional balance:
This is a gentle practice in which we journey through movement, breathing patterns and insightful conversations that will help relieve anxiety and depression. I create a safe and soothing atmosphere conducive to emotional healing and growth.
Enjoy a meditative practice in which we hold specific poses for 3 to 5 minutes each, riding the edge of physical sensations within an appropriate range to safely stretch connective tissue. Such a practice helps us reach down into the body and gently stimulate the flow of qi and prana through the connective tissue. Chinese medical practitioners and yogis claim that the network of connective tissue in our bodies correspond with the meridians of acupuncture and the nadis of yoga—strengthening and stretching connective tissue may be critical for your long-term health.
