I have signed up for the 2019 Thought Reader program with Lisa Larter when I was at the recent Money, Mindset and Marketing Event (#MMMEvent). For years, I used to read an empowering book a month. I got out of the habit for all the reasons that one falls out of a habit. I am letting go of that story and re-igniting my habit of reading thought provoking books again.

The first book that Lisa sent is The Success Principles; How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be By Jack Canfield, the creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul. Well… I am 28 pages into to book and he guides us to write our LIFE PURPOSE. I used to skim over those exercises because I felt inadequate about expressing something so deep. Well… Here I am stepping fully into doing the exercise and coming up with something that I feel really describes my life purpose. I think this pretty much sums it up:

My Life Purpose

To use my vast knowledge and experience to inspire and empower people to move well, be well and have rich life experiences so they can live life to the fullest.

The exercise is to put the description of your life’s purpose into one sentence.

  • You start with listing 2 of your unique personal qualities
  • Then you list one our two ways you enjoy expressing those qualities when interacting with others
  • Then assume that the world is perfect and write your answer as a statement, in the present tense, describing the ultimate condition or the perfect world as you see it and feel it.

Are you willing to dig deep and do such an exercise?

What is your life’s purpose?
